THE DAILY MIRROR, AUGUST 1964
The first daily serial ever produced by Independent Television to fit a 25-minute slot begins in ATV’s Midlands area on November 2.
This serial – yet to be given a title – will start at 6.35pm from Monday to Friday inclusive. Hazel Adair and Peter Ling will be writing for the programmes initially. They will later hand over to a team of Midlands writers.
TWO SISTERS
The serial will be set in a fictitious Midlands town and the action will be centre around two sisters and their families. One of the sisters owns a motel, while the other runs a sweetshop.
Noele Gordon will be playing one of the sisters. The remainder of the characters have yet to be cast. Reg Watson will produce the series.
