Sacked from Crossroads

In the summer of 1981 Crossroads viewers were left in shock when news broke that Noele Gordon was to leave the show after nearly 18 years. The story caused much press coverage and protests outside the Birmingham studios. 40 years later it would be the centre of the ITV drama ‘Nolly’.
